Our
History
Dating Back to 1965
Originally built in 1965 as part of Russell Sage College’s campus expansion, Manning Hall was named after paper industrialist John A. Manning, a longtime supporter of the college. The hall was one of several mid-century additions that transformed the historic downtown Troy campus into a more unified academic setting. Designed with a modern brick exterior overlooking Sage Park, the building became home to generations of students and remains a symbol of the college’s postwar growth and commitment to education in the heart of Troy.
